JACOB DAVIS

Songwriter of "Tucson Too Late", "Buy Dirt" and Take It From Me".

 

Born in Shreveport, Louisiana with music in his soul, Jacob Davis grew up listening  to the likes of Otis Redding, John Prine and James Taylor, as well as the 90’s Country greats such as Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson. After  graduating with a degree in Environmental Science from LSU, he spent a year  working in the oil fields of North Louisiana before making the move to Nashville. His decision to move paid off quickly when he signed his first publishing deal  within six months. He has worked with many incredible artist and songwriters in  Music City and feels crazy fortunate to be in a business he loves...doing exactly  what he loves to do. Jacob has multiple cuts under his belt and hits including, “Take it from Me”, performed and co-written by Jacob’s brother Jordan Davis, and the most recent song of the year nominated, “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan. Jacob recently celebrated another chart topper with Jordan Davis’ “Tucson too late”. Davis stays busy writing almost every day and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Whitney, have three beautiful, little girls, Percy, Lane and Piper.
